He emphasised the the development of St Kitts and Nevis, surpassing well-known countries like Bahamas, Jamaica, Barbados, and Guyana in terms of the Human Development Index, was due to the Programmes role in the country. Dr. Drew also expressed pride in the nation’s heritage, culture, and the promising opportunities on the horizon during the Summit.
An Ever-evolving Citizenship by Investment Programme
Under Dr. Drew’s leadership, the administration has focused on transforming the nation into a model of sustainability, good governance, and economic resilience. Notably, comprehensive reforms to the Citizenship by Investment Programme have been instrumental in this transformation. In 2024, initiatives such as the establishment of the Continuing Intelligence Due Diligence Unit and negotiations on a Memorandum of Agreement with other Eastern Caribbean States demonstrate St. Kitts and Nevis’ commitment to transparency, compliance with international laws, and collaboration with regional partners to enhance the integrity of Citizenship by Investment programmes.
